Welcome... The Blackberry Bramble Cottage was built around 1920 and was once owned by the Whitson family. It was part of a 600 acre working farm. After the Whitson family moved, it became a rental and was seriously neglected. Another family bought the home 15 years ago and restored the outside of the home and remodeled the inside. When it was put up for sale in 2007, my husband and I fell in love with the home and saw its potential. It has now been completely restored with fireplaces in each bedroom, beautiful new kitchen and baths, beadboard, raised ceilings, detailed woodworking and molding, period wallpaper, 7 crystal chandeliers (including a vintage one from Italy) and hardwood floors. The beds have pillow top mattresses and plush Cashmina sheets. Every room is filled with vintage furniture, antiques and shabby chic decor. There is a LCD flat screen TV and DVD with movies in each bedroom. Comes with Wi-Fi (wireless internet) and Cable TV. Great for... Business Professionals, Scrapbooking Clubs. :) The cottage sits on five manicured acres that
have been beautifully landscaped complete
with a white picket fence. Mature trees tower
over the home. The border on all the gardens
came from a 100 year old building that was
torn down in Cookeville. Spring through
summer is a special time as the gardens are
filled with beautiful flowering
plants and ferns. Excellent prices given for weekly or monthly rentals. :) **Book early for our elaborate Fall and Christmas decorations.** |
